In the early years, a child’s brain is in the developmental stage. The neuroplasticity of a child’s brain is very high and active. Therefore, learning mental maths is too easy in this phase. There is a very big misconception that children will be overburdened by this. Absolutely not, on contrary, it will help them immensely. If we build a very strong base at an early age, the child’s proximity with Maths would enhance. In turn, it will help him/her in CODING, ROBOTICS, 3D VISUALIZATION and so on.
Mental maths skill is proportionate to daily practice. If a child practices 15 to 20 minutes daily, it would take 2 years to master it. You can witness results after 6 months itself. The child will gradually master it level wise. You could see level-wise results happening in them.
Abacus is not only about basic four operations. Its application is too wide. A child will be able to do tables up to 500(At least), proportions, percentage, LCM/HCF, square, cube, square root, cube root, mensuration etc. questions very easily. It will not only help in school work but also give an edge in future competitive exams where speed and accuracy matter the most. Photographic memory developed out of this would help to memorize other subjects too. Most importantly it will boost your child’s confidence manifold.
Your child’s competition is not with just 100-200 students of his/her school as you think. In future, he/she will compete with students from across India, rather across the globe. For example, students from New York, Beijing, Tokyo, Korea, Bangalore, Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi etc. Lacs of students across Globe and India are getting trained into this science. Children who have consciously worked on their brain’s core strength, they will excel in their respective field. If you don’t build a solid foundation in school days itself, time will not come back once fly away. If you are not training your child to have a global vision, it will drive him/her out of big competitions.
Hence, even if your child is an A+ student in Maths, you must train his/her brain to its core strength so that SPEED AND ACCURACY could be achieved.
Understand, we are working on the brain. Mental maths is a consequence/result. Since we are working on the brain to create neurological paths which will help in visualisation and retention. Photographic memory, concentration, visualisation, listening skills get enhanced manifold. In turn, it definitely helps in learning and memorising other subjects too.
This is the most often question we encounter with. Maths is an entire logic dimension of the universe. It is nothing like the right to left OR left to the right calculation is the only way.
A Small Story
Doctor to a blind person: If I do the operation on your eyes, you will get your sight back. Then you will be able to walk without using this stick.
Blind person to Doctor: Sir, I will get my sight back that is perfect. But how could I walk without using a stick ??
Here, the blind person unconsciously started thinking that the walking stick itself is a part of his walking mechanism. When he got his sight back after the operation, that question became irrelevant – whether to use a stick or not. Because maturity happened in thinking.
Similarly, we have also started thinking that left to right OR right to left calculation itself is part of Maths. Which is not correct. When that maturity happens to a child the question regarding confusion becomes redundant.
We will integrate both things very nicely. We have very vast experience in the field. When that integration happens it will no longer be two things. It just becomes only one.
Of course. After successful completion of each level, a certificate will be given. Overall result certificate will also be given after successful completion of the entire course. It means two types of
certificates.
The first type- after successful completion of each level.
The second type- after successful completion of the entire course.
As a parent, you just need to monitor whether your child is doing daily 15-20 minutes of practice properly. First 3 months, you may need to take 5-10 minutes of practice daily. After that, you will just enjoy seeing how your loved one is doing Mental Maths. Because we will give website access, practice software, mobile Apps etc. to your child.
QUESTIONS REGARDING SCHEDULE
A two-hour class is conducted once a week for each batch. The batch timings are such that they do not clash with the school timings. We are not a weekly class-based organization. Two hours of class a week is compulsory. On the remaining days, practice sessions will be conducted on daily basis. These are optional ones. You may attend in person or online.
There are 10 levels. Entry-level depends on the age of the child.
Each level takes an estimated 3 months to complete.
Yes, we do conduct annual Abacus competitions.
An assessment is conducted at the end of every level. On successful completion of the level, the child will be promoted to the next level and a certificate of successful completion is awarded.
